MIHAEL DÉ MIRI — Berlin-Based Croatian-Greek Menswear Designer,
Born in 2000

About MIHAEL DÉ MIRI

Mihael dé miri is a designer born in Mannheim, Germany, with roots in both Croatia and Greece. His multicultural background deeply informs his perspective—merging Central European clarity with Mediterranean energy. His creative journey didn’t begin in traditional fashion but in urban subculture. At the age of 15, he discovered graffiti and street art as his first gateway into visual expression. This early exploration of identity, subversion, and raw aesthetics continues to shape his design language to this day.

In 2019, he began training as a graphic designer, and by 2020, he was already releasing his first fashion pieces under the name MIHAEL DÉ MIRI. What began with three hand-designed T-shirts quickly evolved into a fully-formed creative vision—an ever-shifting aesthetic shaped by art, community, and streetwear.

In 2024, Mihael opened his first standalone store—not just a retail space, but a platform for creative interaction. He hosted regular community events, where live graffiti was sprayed onto garments, turning the act of creation into performance. This direct, hands-on connection with people became a core part of his artistic and entrepreneurial identity. Since early 2025, Mihael has been living and working in Berlin—his studio is based there, his influences are international.

About the Label

MIHAEL DÉ MIRI is not a traditional fashion label. It’s a constantly evolving creative ecosystem rooted in streetwear, art, and attitude. The collections are characterized by their diversity and adaptability—sometimes minimal and monochrome, other times loud, playful, or confrontational. From crisp white shirts with heavy metal-inspired prints to Muay Thai shorts with a bold Bitcoin logo—each piece tells a story and defies conventional categorization.

The label’s aesthetic thrives on contrast: between high and low, past and present, subculture and couture. Every piece is designed, conceptualized, and produced by Mihael himself—often starting with carefully sourced vintage garments that are reinterpreted and transformed. These are one-of-a-kind items, deliberately raw and unapologetically honest. The collection lives in the tension between graphic design, urban art, and conceptual fashion thinking.

Sustainability

At MIHAEL DÉ MIRI, sustainability is not an afterthought—it is the origin and foundation of the brand. Since 2025, Mihael has worked almost exclusively with secondhand and vintage pieces, personally sourced and carefully curated. These garments are then meticulously reworked—printed, painted, reconstructed—to create items that carry history and consciously break away from the cycle of mass production.

His approach to sustainability is individual, hands-on, and creative: instead of chasing perfection in new materials, he celebrates uniqueness, character, and even flaws. A defining moment came during the opening of his store in 2024, when two misprinted shirts—originally meant to be removed—were the first to sell. That experience confirmed the growing desire for authenticity and imperfection.

Labels are produced in the Netherlands, prints are made in Baden-Württemberg, and all garments are crafted in Berlin. Every piece is a deliberate counterstatement to fast fashion—a reflection of circular thinking, resourcefulness, and individuality.
